Cambridge Exam Preparation Courses

Milton College offers preparation for the Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE) and Preliminary English Test (PET). These courses prepare students for the Cambridge exam.

Duration: 10 - 12 weeks.

Minimum 20 hours per week.

FCE

FCE is an intermediate level exam course which is an ideal course for those who wish to study abroad or work in fields such as business or tourism which require highly developed language skills.

Entry Requirements (FCE)

  • 5.0 IELTS or Intermediate English or equivalent
  • The Milton College FCE entry test
  • The FCE exam consists of 5 papers - listening, reading, writing, speaking and use of English which tests grammar and vocabulary.

PET

PET is a lower intermediate level course which uses real life language. It is widely recognised by many employers in clerical, secretarial or managerial jobs. The course will greatly help students' increase and improve all language skills.

Entry Requirements (PET)

  • 4.0 IELTS or Lower Intermediate English or equivalent
  • Milton College PET entry test
  • The PET exam consists of 3 papers - reading and writing, listening and speaking.

Through out both the FCE and PET courses there will be regular mock tests.
