CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT
1. ENROLMENT POLICY
1.1 Before the enrolment process can be completed, students must provide all documents as required by Milton College.1.2 All documents must be certified and translated into English.1.3 Students must meet all entry requirements before the enrolment procedure is completed.1.4 DIAC requires that all student visa holders under the age of 18 have a guardian. Milton College requires all students under the age of 18 to have a guardian.
2. PAYMENT POLICY
2.1 All fees as outlined in the Student Summary of Course Fees must be paid by the applicant a minimum of one week prior to commencement of the start date of the initial course (Course 1). The student will be unable to commence the course until all fees are paid, including and not limited to tuition, homestay, materials and bank charges.2.2 Payments must be made in Australian dollars and either by direct deposit, credit card or telegraphically transferred into Milton College’s nominated account, in favour of Milton College Pty Ltd. A copy of the payment details is also required to confirm payment.2.3 The student is responsible for any and all bank charges related to the transferring of the fees.2.4 At the time of the payment, whichever date the student indicates they would like to begin their initial course, shall be known as the initial commencement date.
3. REFUND POLICY
3.1 All applications for refund must be made in writing by the applicant to Milton College and must be attached to the Milton College Refund Application Form with any evidence to support the refund claim no more than 6 calendar months after the initial commencement date of the initial course. 3.2 Upon receiving the completed Application and all required documentation, where the student is eligible to receive a refund, Milton College will pay the calculated refund no less than 30 working days and no more than 3 calendar months3.3 All refunds will have a statement explaining the calculations made. The refund will be paid to the Student’s nominated account or to the Student’s nominated agent.3.4 In the event Milton College received the funds directly from the nominated agent, Milton College will refund the Student fees directly to the Student’s nominated agent.3.5 Where an applicant cancels their course in writing, 28 days or more prior to the initial commencement date of the initial course, 85% of the tuition fees will be refunded.3.6 Where an applicant cancels their course in writing, 27 days or less prior to the initial commencement date of the initial course, 75% of the tuition fees will be refunded.3.7 No refund will be given to an applicant who applies after the initial commencement date of their initial course or to an applicant who fails to commence their course.3.8 If the refund is to be given to a minor, appropriate written arrangements must be made between Milton College and the guardian/parent(s)/agent to confirm whom the payment should be made to.3.9 If the applicant’s visa is rejected by DIAC, Australian Embassy, Milton College will require a copy of the rejection letter and will refund all tuition fees and related fees minus any non-refundable fees.3.10 Enrolment fee, accommodation placement fee and airport transfer fee are non-refundable.3.11 Accommodation fees will be refunded in full where written notice of cancellation is given at least 14 days prior to accommodation commencement date. Where cancellation is given less than 14 days in advance, two weeks accommodation fees will be non-refundable.3.12 This agreement does not remove the right of the student to take further action under Australia’s consumer protection laws.3.13 The registered provider’s dispute resolution processes do not circumscribe the student’s right to pursue other legal remedies.
3.14 In the event Milton College cancels your course/s after your enrolment is finalised and payment has been received, Milton College will refund all fees received by Milton College. Alternatively you may choose to enrol in an alternate course of equal value.
4. TUITION TRANSFER AND TUITION CREDIT POLICY
4.1 Tuition fees cannot, under any circumstance, be transferred to another student and/or a family member4.2 Subject to Government guidelines and policy, tuition fees may be transferred to another institution. NO TRANSFER of tuition fees will be made once the initial course has commenced.4.3 In the event a student must withdraw from their course early due to extenuating circumstances, tuition fees may be held in credit for a limit of one calendar year from the date of withdrawal.4.4 Any tuition held in credit must be no less than 4 weeks. Validity of credit will be determined by Milton College and will only be granted in extenuating circumstances.
5. COLLEGE RULES
5.1 Applicants shall be bound by the rules of Milton College. Failure to comply with these rules may result in the applicant being dismissed or suspended as determined by the Principal of Milton College or authorised Delegate. Where an applicant is dismissed or suspended from Milton College, NO REFUND will be made whatsoever and NO CREDIT will be granted.5.2 The applicant authorises Milton College to use photos and comments taken directly by Milton College during the time at the College for promotional purposes.5.3 The applicant accepts all responsibilities for himself / herself while on excursions with the college.5.4 Adult courses are a minimum 20 hours per week. HSP courses are 25 hours per week5.5 1 day per month in the High School Preparation program is a student-free day5.6 Milton College requires HSP Students to maintain 90% attendance at all times. Failure to maintain 90% attendance may result in dismissal from the High School Preparation Program
6. PRIVACY ACT
6.1 It is a legal requirement that Milton College makes available to Government, Commonwealth and State bodies details of your enrolment if required as per the ESOS Act 2000 (Section 175). Clicking the "Accept" button below acknowledges your acceptance of this requirement.
7. MEDICAL 7.1 The student authorises Milton College to seek assistance on their behalf, should a medical emergency arise while they are in attendance at The College.
