IELTS Preparation
Duration: 4-16 weeks, 23 hours 20 minutes per week
It is recommended that students study for a minimum of 10 weeks in IELTS but may choose a period of time to suit their own needs.
Entry Requirements
- IELTS 4.5 or equivalent
- Milton College IELTS placement test.
Our IELTS teachers have written two IELTS textbooks called "IELTS in Context". The textbooks are specifically designed to help students achieve the best possible result in the IELTS test. Our students have been very successful and many are now studying at a variety of universities, colleges and TAFE in Australia. Our goal is to help all our students achieve a high IELTS score. We have a team of friendly, dedicated and knowledgeable teachers who will help students succeed.
Course Information
The Milton IELTS Preparation course trains students to understand the exam's structure and the examiners' expectations. It also trains them to complete the exam within the time frame. Entrance to the course is possible at any point in the course's cycle.
- This course prepares students for the IELTS exam.
- There are two modules, general and academic.
- Students need IELTS 4.5 or equivalent or Milton IELTS placement test
- Students must have an academic IELTS result between 6.0 or 7.0 for university entry depending on the course they want to study.
- Students planning to enter TAFE, business or other colleges and students seeking residency in Australia need between 5.0 and 6.0 in the general IELTS module.
- High school students need 5.5 in the general module for most schools. The exam has four parts: listening, reading, writing and speaking.
- Students practise an IELTS trial test three times a month.
